Additionally, the size and shape of the chin can actually alter the perceived appearance of other facial features, such as the jaw, lips, and nose. Many Asian individuals are unhappy with their chin shape or lack of protrusion. The procedure
The first step in any surgical procedure is anesthesia, which is administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist. There are several techniques for placing a chin implant. The best one will depend of your facial structure, the size and type of the implant, and your desired goals. Sometimes the surgeon can work though an incision on the inside of the mouth, leaving no visible surgical scar. If silicone implants are used, the incision is usually located externally beneath the jawed, where it is well disguised once healed. The surgeon works through the incision to create a pocket between the bone and the overlying fleshy tissue. The implant is positioned inside of the pocket, and the incision is closed. You will need to stay in the recovery area for approximately one hour after surgery while you regain alertness before leaving.Results
A chin implant can lengthen the face, creating a more oval shape and delicate, feminine appearance. It can also be used to create a more angular, protruding chin with a classic masculine appearance. In either case, the procedure does not compromise the natural ethnic appearance of your features when it is performed properly.
